Hommon Butsuryu (Honmon Butsuryu Shu, Hommon Butsuryu Shu, Honmon Butsuryushu) is a Japanese religious movement. It has been established by Nagamatsu Nissen in 1857. [1] It is a Buddhist group. [2] It calls Nichiren Great Master. [3] It was the first Japanese Buddhist lay organisation to place special emphasis on the Lotus Sutra. [4] Nagamatsu Nissen died in 1890. [5] The head temple of Hommon Butsuryu, Yuseiji, is in Kyoto. [6] Hommon Butsuryu has followers in several countries, including Brazil. [7]
